A Boy In Mid Air
Curated by Ravi Vasavan
Impossible is trying to connect in this world, trying to hold on to others while things are blowing up around you knowing that while you’re speaking they aren’t just waiting for their turn to talk. They hear you. They feel exactly what you feel at the same time that you feel it.
There is no reason not to follow your heart.
Also think a lot. Think hard before you start to do something. I spend more time thinking than illustrating. I need to surprise myself with good ideas and not just illustrate beautiful pictures.

The work you do while you procrastinate is probably the work you should be doing for the rest of your life.

Before you speak, ask yourself, is it kind, is it necessary, is it true, does it improve on the silence?
Strangely enough, artists don’t become. They either are or are something different. I imagine there are people somewhere in the world that see something extraordinary then shrug their shoulders and continue eating or whatever it is that they’re doing.
Do stuff. Be clenched, curious. Not waiting for inspiration’s shove or society’s kiss on your forehead. Pay attention. It’s all about paying attention. Attention is vitality. It connects you with others. It makes you eager. Stay eager.
I always turn to the sports section first. The sports section records people’s accomplishments; the front page nothing but man’s failures.
If you want others to be happy, practice compassion and If you want to be happy, practice compassion.
Nothing lasts forever. Everything in the universe wears out.
Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings.
While nothing is easier than to denounce the evildoer, nothing is more difficult than to understand him.
